About the Course
Old-School Micropave
Set micropavé using hand-push gravers only — no power tools, minimal investment in equipment.
This course teaches micropavé setting using hand-push gravers exclusively — no pneumatic machine or micromotor required. You'll learn to calculate stone spacing and cut seats entirely by hand, a self-reliant technique valuable for setters who want to work without expensive equipment, or as a backup skill when equipment isn't available.

Day-by-Day
Day 1 — Hand-push graver control: technique for controlling a hand-push graver without machine assistance.
Day 2 — Calculating spacing by hand: layout and spacing math for micropavé without machine or digital tools.
Day 3 — Full hand-push setting: set a complete row of stones on a practice plate using hand-push technique only, then finish and polish.
What This Class Doesn't Cover Machine-assisted micropavé styles taught in Micropavé I and II — this course is hand-push technique only, a different tool approach to a similar setting style.
