Micropave diamond settings for Grillz

Class Details: Duration: 5 days (Monday to Friday)

Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (one hour lunch)

Class size: Limited to 6 students per class to focused instruction and individual attention.

Prerequisites: Preparation Class is required before attending this class.

Day 1:

Introduction to Micropave Diamond Setting

• Overview of micropave setting technique, introduction to tools, and materials required for micropave diamond setting.

• Understanding diamond selection, grading, and handling. Hands-on practice with handling small diamonds and learning about their characteristics.

Day 2:

• Preparing the Grill for Micropave Setting

• Assessing the grill design for micropave setting and preparation steps, including cleaning and prepping the surface.

• Detailed demonstration on creating channels and preparing the surface for precise micropave diamond placement. Students practice preparing their grills.

Day 3:

• Micropave Setting Techniques

• Step-by-step instruction on micropave setting methods, including bead setting and bright-cut techniques.

• Hands-on practice setting small diamonds onto the prepared surface, focusing on precision, alignment, and securing techniques.    

Day 4:

• Polishing and Cleaning Micropave Set Diamonds

• Techniques for post-setting cleaning and inspecting the micropave set diamonds. Introduction to polishing methods without damaging the diamonds.

•  Hands-on practice polishing the grill surface without affecting the set diamonds. Discussion on achieving a high-quality finish while maintaining diamond brilliance.

Day 5:

• Finalizing Micropave Diamond Grills

• Final inspection and quality checks for the micropave setting.

• Troubleshooted and rectified any issues with the setting.

• Final adjustments, cleaning, and presentation techniques.

Each student completes their micropave diamond grill, receives feedback, and prepares to take it home.

At the end of the course, participants will have acquired comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in micropave diamond setting techniques tailored explicitly for grillz. They will understand the intricacies of working with small diamonds, preparing surfaces, setting them securely, and finishing micropave diamond grills to a high standard.
