    Our Graduate Diamond Setting Class is designed to transform aspiring individuals like you into skilled diamond setters in just three months. With a limited class size of only six students, you'll receive personalized instruction and hands-on training to become a professional in the art of gemstone diamond setting.

     

    Program Overview:

    This comprehensive program is tailored for individuals without experience in diamond settings. Throughout the course, you'll master the theoretical concepts and practical skills necessary for professional gemstone & diamond setting, including micro-pave techniques.

    Upon completing this course, you'll possess the expertise to embark on a successful career as a diamond setter without needing additional practice elsewhere.

     

    Course Details:

    Duration: 3 months

    Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break)

    Requirements:

    Preparation Class is required to enroll in this class.

     

     

    Course Objectives:

    • Introduction to Tools and Equipment:
    • Gain familiarity with the tools and equipment commonly used in diamond settings.
    • Learn proper handling and care techniques to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of tools.
    • Understand the specific functions of each tool and its role in the diamond setting process.
    • Graver Sharpening and Custom Tool Creation:
    • Master the art of graver sharpening to achieve optimal cutting performance.
    • Learn how to customize gravers to suit individual preferences and specific setting tasks.
    • Practice creating specialized tools tailored to unique setting requirements for enhanced precision and efficiency.

    Microscope Setup and Use:

    • Familiarize yourself with the setup and operation of microscopes for detailed inspection and precision work.
    • Learn how to adjust microscope settings to achieve optimal magnification and clarity.
    • Develop skills in using microscopes to identify imperfections and ensure precise stone placement during setting.

    Geometric Layout Calculation:

    • Acquire the knowledge and techniques to calculate geometric layouts for stone settings.
    • Understand the principles of stone positioning, spacing, and alignment for aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound settings.
    • Practice applying geometric calculations to real-world setting scenarios for accuracy and consistency.

    Setting Techniques for Various Stone Shapes:

    • Explore the intricacies of setting different stone shapes, including round brilliants, princess cuts, marquise, and pear shapes.
    • Learn specialized techniques for handling irregular and fancy-cut stones to achieve secure and visually appealing settings.
    • Develop the skills to adapt setting techniques to suit the unique characteristics of each stone shape.

    Proficiency in Setting Styles:

    • Master various setting styles, including prong, bezel, flush, channel, pave, and fancy bright cuts.
    • Understand the principles behind each setting style and when to use them for optimal results.
    • Gain hands-on experience in executing each setting style with precision and confidence.

    Business Operation Skills:

    • Receive guidance on establishing a legal business entity like an LLC and understand the relevant regulations and requirements.
    • Learn practical strategies for client communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
